At Christ Community, we are rooted in the unchanging truths of the Christian faith. We believe the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, forming our world view, guiding our decisions in this life, and filling us with the hope of life eternal in Jesus. Central to our faith are these truths:
1) God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit are One God.
2) We are made in the image of His triune nature (body, soul, and spirit).
3) Through the first man, sin was brought into the world in the form of rebellion. Holiness cannot be in the presence of sin. Since God is holiness, sinful man could no longer be in His presence.
4) God was not willing that man be lost, so He made a Way. This Way is called ‘Salvation’. God sent Himself in the form of man to stand in the place of sinful men. Jesus was perfect and never sinned. On the cross, Jesus took all sin upon Himself so that all who believe on Him as Lord are called blameless on the Day of Judgement. We affirm that salvation is a gift from God, received as a gift through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
5) We eagerly anticipate the return of Jesus to establish His kingdom and bring justice and judgement to the earth.
We are committed to Jesus’ last instructions to His followers; therefore, we actively engage in evangelism and missions. Our moral and ethical standards are based on biblical teachings, including the sanctity of life and marriage. We cherish the role of the church, both universal and local, in providing fellowship, worship, and ministry opportunities.
